After obtaining a Master of Business Administration Degree, Dr. Hecker pursued her medical education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Subsequently, she completed an internship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, followed by a residency in dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
During her tenure as an Attending at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York, Dr. Hecker held various leadership roles including Dermatology Clinic Chief, Director of the Clinical Research Unit, and served as the department’s expert on nail dermatology.
In addition to being an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Hecker is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). Dr. Hecker has been an integral part of the South Florida medical community since 1999, offering his services to the residents of Lighthouse Point, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Coconut Creek, Boca Raton, and Boynton Beach. His extensive expertise covers a broad spectrum of dermatological concerns including skin cancer, psoriasis, acne, eczema, geriatric dermatology, and cosmetic surgery.
In terms of his academic background, Dr. Hecker earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University before pursuing his medical education at the University of Florida School of Medicine. He completed his residency in dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he distinguished himself as Chief Resident. Following his residency, he undertook a dermatopharmacology research fellowship at Mount Sinai, during which he authored numerous articles focusing on dermatologic and cosmetic-related conditions.
Board certified in dermatology, Dr. Hecker is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD).
