Dr. Bean is a Preventive Medicine Specialist, as well as an Environmental Health Specialist. She is currently practicing with Bean Consulting, LLC, whose efforts involve serving the highest quality employee empowerment with questionable methods and personal goals without compromise. Dr. Bean received her medical degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. She then went on to complete her residency at St. Louis University Hospital.

Dr. Bean is board-certified in Preventive Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). The ABPM was established to promote the health and safety of the American people through our high standards in the certification and maintenance of certification in the profession of preventive health. Board Certification demonstrates a physician’s exceptional expertise in a specialty and/or subspecialty of medical practice.

Dr. Bean is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (FACOEM). The FACOEM designation is ACOEM’s highest acknowledgment that recognizes years of dedication to exceptional education, leadership, and commitment to the specialty.

Preventive medicine focuses on the health of individuals, communities, and defined populations. Its goal is to protect, promote, and maintain health and well-being and to prevent disease, disability, and death. As a preventive medicine specialist, Dr. Bean specializes in researching, developing, and implementing ways to prevent disease, decrease disability, and maintain health.

Environmental health is the branch of public health concerned with all aspects of the natural and built environment affecting human health. An environmental health specialist, like Dr. Bean, is someone who is responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal regulations that pertain to the sanitation of food and water, handling of hazardous and infectious wastes, and cleanliness and safety of housing and institutional environments.

Dr. Bean’s favorite place to vacation is any place with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys Jiu Jitsu – a Japanese martial art.
