Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Michael Allison, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.
An experienced chiropractor, Dr. Allison has a particular focus on orthopedics and physical rehabilitation, and is proficient in the use of various techniques, including the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and kinesiotaping, among others.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Allison completed his undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University and later earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees at Parker University. In November 2017, he completed his Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) postgraduate work.
Dr. Allison is the owner of Starwood Chiropractic located in Frisco Texas on the northwest corner of Legacy Drive and Lebanon Road. Starwood Chiropractic has been open and servicing the community for almost two decades.
Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo, various injuries to the upper and lower extremities and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
In addition to his work as a chiropractor, Dr. Allison enjoys golfing, spending time with friends and family, and participating in outdoor activities such as swimming and boating. He and his wife, Claire, met at Texas Tech and currently reside in Frisco, Texas with their sons, Calum and Carter.
