Dr. Dillehay, a board-certified family practitioner and Navy veteran, serves as President of Lake Mary Family Care Place of Wellbeing, an independent family practice in Lake Mary, Florida. The Lake Mary area has been served by the doctor for nearly two decades.

Professionally, Dr. Dillehay also serves as the Medical Director of the Central Florida Program at Vitas Healthcare Hospice. Vitas is a national company and the nation’s leading provider in end-of-life care. Additionally, the doctor serves as the Chief Medical Officer of The Place of Possibility. Inc. He also served as a staff physician for Alpha Physicians Services and as an ER physician at Central Florida Regional Hospital.

His acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in family medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Fairview General Hospital. 

The doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, he is a member of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Directors Association, and the Florida Medical Directors Association. 

Family medicine, formerly family practice, is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family practitioner or family doctor. They are expected to treat a wide range of medical conditions, develop long-term, personal relationships with their patients, produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data, and offer continuous support and health management advice.
