He completed his internship in internal medicine at Creighton University in 1996, after which he returned to Creighton University to complete his residency in diagnostic radiology in 2000.
A member of the American Medical Association, he is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
