Her extensive experience includes serving as Health Services Administrator at Lake City Correctional Facility from February 2001 to September 2023, where she managed the medical, dental, and mental health care for over 900 youthful offenders. In this role, she demonstrated exceptional leadership by also overseeing contract physicians and a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

In December 2023, Michelle took on a new challenge as a bc Registered Nurse Specialist Surveyor within the Division of Health Quality Assurance of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), where she plays a vital role in shaping health policy and planning for the state.

Through her Multi-State Florida License, she is now able to provide services to clients in all 41 states participating in the Multi-State Compact. Utilizing modern technology, Michelle offers flexible coaching options, including in-person sessions, virtual meetings via platforms like Teams or Zoom, and phone consultations.

“Nurse Coaching/Holistic Nursing is about treating the whole patient, about finding out how a person ended up in the present situation they are in and utilizing the person’s resources, drive, determination, and decisions to further their health and wellness goals,” Michelle explains. “The Nurse Coach is there merely as a guide, a resource, a cheerleader, an accountability partner, and someone that is willing to help you find the path you are willing and want to take.”

Michelle credits her success to the unwavering support of her fellow nurses, emphasizing the importance of trust and camaraderie in the nursing profession, as well as to the mentorship of Regional Nurse Mary Price, who inspired her to pursue further education and professional growth.

With her wealth of experience and compassionate approach, Michelle Mallicoat is poised to make a significant impact in the field of holistic nursing.
