A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Wu is the Founder of Professional Wound Specialists in Las Vegas, Nevada. He later completed his residency in general surgery at St. John’s Hospital, and his fellowship in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
In order to keep himself on the cutting edge of wound care, he is an active member of the American Board of Wound Management, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. As for his academic appointments, Dr. Wu lectures at Touro University, trains residents from Valley Hospital and speaks for present/past over 9 pharmaceutical wound companies. He also lectures at conferences such as Superbones Superwounds, Desert Foot, American Medical Integration, and has traveled internationally to lecture in Iceland and Taiwan.
