Dr. Anastasi (Taso) Roupas
Recognized as a top dentist, Dr. Roupas has devoted his professional life to learning the latest advanced technologies and innovative techniques. A combination of experience, skill and enthusiasm helps his patients to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
Born in Canada, he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Manitoba. He then completed two years of postgraduate study at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC), doing a general practice residency. Having served as chief dental resident in his second year, he was involved in the care of traumatic dental injuries, the treatment of medically compromised individuals, and also had the opportunity to work with various dental specialties on a daily basis.
Prestigious professional organizations of which he is a member of include the Charlotte Dental Society (past board member), the North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Society.
Dr. John Burd
Having been with Mint Hill Dentistry since 1987, Dr. Burd will be retiring at the end of 2020. He has enjoyed helping his patients gain renewed confidence through a radiant, healthy smiles for over 30 years.
Academically, he graduated from the University of Kentucky and holds his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He received advanced training at the famous L.D. Pankey Institute and Dawson Institute.
Dr. Earle Sullivan
Dr. Sullivan has dedicated his professional life to learning about the newest technologies and techniques. He is passionate about his patients and strives to make every dental visit relaxing and informative.
A native of Charlotte, Dr. Sullivan graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Understanding the importance of continuing his education after graduation, he attended the world-renowned L.D. Pankey Institute and the Dawson Institute for his training.
Currently, Dr. Sullivan is an Adjunct Professor of Operative Dentistry at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He formerly held the position of Chief of Dentistry at Carolinas Medical Center where he was a member of the teaching staff and remains on staff with senior attending status. Dr Sullivan continues to work tirelessly to ensure the quality of education for the men and women entering the field of dentistry.
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Sullivan is an active member of the Charlotte Dental Society (past President), the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (Fellow).
Dr. AJ Tremont
Enjoying providing a great dental experience, Dr. Tremont will carefully listen to his patients to understand what they need and how he can best support them in reaching their goals. Whether that be from a simple chipped tooth to a complete smile makeover, he believes that communication and collaboration are key.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Tremont studied Kinesiology at Miami University of Ohio and went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Michigan. Following dental school, he completed a postgraduate program at the University of Florida where he had extensive training in dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and advanced restorative techniques. He also trained at The Dawson Academy.
Committed to being a lifelong learner, Dr. Tremont has spent thousands of hours learning the newest trends and technology in dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Implantologists. He also values giving back to the community, whether that be a mission trip to Honduras or volunteering locally (Mission of Mercy).
On a more personal note, he lives in the Charlotte area with his wife, Rachel. They enjoy skiing, fishing, traveling, and everything sports.
Dr. David Sullivan
Dedicated to providing his patients with thorough and attentive dental care, Dr. Sullivan is passionate about his work. He strives to ensure his patients are able to create and maintain their beautiful smiles.
Holding an adjunct faculty appointment at the Dental College of Georgia, he mentors the current residents in the GPR/AEGD clinics in all aspects of general dentistry, including IV sedation and implant surgery.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Sullivan graduated from the University of North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2013.
After graduation, he completed his General Practice Residency at Georgia Regents University (Medical College of Georgia). His residency focused on training specifically in dental implants, dental surgery, full-mouth restoration, and intravenous sedation. He also completed CEREC training in CAD/CAM dentistry.
With a strong background in service, Dr. Sullivan spent a month in Nepal on a mission trip (while in dental school) and has plans to return. In addition, he has worked at numerous Mission of Mercy clinics, which provide free dental service throughout North Carolina.
He is a current member of the following organizations and participates in the following professional activities: the American Dental Society, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (Diplomate in Implantology), the North Carolina Dental Society, the Charlotte Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the SPEAR Study Club for the pursuit of great dentistry, and the Pikos Institute for Surgical Excellence (Certificate in Advanced Bone Grafting). He also holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
On a more personal note, Dr. Sullivan was married in July of 2014 to his wife, Melissa, a graduate from University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy.
