Dr. Dumitrescu, an accomplished rheumatologist, specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and systemic autoimmune conditions that can affect the bones, muscles, or bones. Currently, she is affiliated with Yale-New Haven Health – Bridgeport Hospital and Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center – Trumbull, which is a part of Northeast Medical Group.

After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York, followed by her fellowship in rheumatology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, the doctor is board-certified in rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
