Dr. Bilal received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. Following his graduation, he completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was the junior and senior Chief Resident. He then went on to complete his fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the same medical center.
Dr. Bilal is board certified in Diagnostic, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). The organization conducts initial qualifying and certifying examinations to ascertain the qualification of those who have completed training in the specialties of radiology, as well as several subspecialty areas.
Dr. Bilal maintains professional memberships with the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Medical Association, the Suffolk County Medical Society, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
