Dr. Ibrahim is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The Center has provided more than a century of service to Lakeland and all communities across Central Florida. As a hospitalist, Dr. Ibrahim’s primary professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalized patients. His duties include assessing patients’ health, creating strategies to improve or manage patients’ health, as well as introducing habits that promote health into patients’ lives. In addition to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, Dr. Ibrahim is also affiliated with Brandon Regional Hospital, South Bay Hospital, Shands Starke Regional Medical Center, and Winter Haven Hospital.
The majority of hospitalists are board-certified internists and have completed the same training as other internal medicine doctors, including medical school, residency and board certification examination.They have more expertise in caring for hospitalized patients with complex cases on a daily basis since, unlike other specialists or primary care doctors, they spend most of their day in the hospital.
