Dr. Wehby is a board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon who is currently serving patients at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland, Oregon. Randall Children’s Hospital is a children’s hospital at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. It offers complex medical and surgical care for children in a peaceful environment.

Dr. Wehby earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she served as student body president, senior class president, and chair of the medical student section of the Texas Medical Association. She then went on to complete her residency in neurosurgery at UCLA School of Medicine, followed by her fellowship in neurosurgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine. 

Dr. Wehby is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). The broad aim of the ABNS is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery, thereby serving the cause of public health.

Dr. Wehby is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). 

Dr. Wehby won the Congressional Medal of Distinction for improving children’s health.

Pediatric neurosurgery is a subspecialty of neurosurgery, which includes surgical procedures that are related to the nervous system, brain, and spinal cord. Pediatric neurosurgeons concentrate on the special surgical problems of children involving the brain, spine or peripheral nerves. They care for infants, children, and adolescents, and also help to counsel parents expecting a baby who may have been diagnosed before birth with a neurosurgical problem. Dr. Wehby’s areas of focus include child abuse, domestic violence, headaches, brain & spine tumors, craniofacial disorder, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, and tethered cord.

Dr. Wehby currently serves on the Statewide Governing Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and Southwest Washington. 

Dr. Wehby is also known for her role as an American politician. She was the Republican nominee for the United States Senate from Oregon in the 2014 election against Democratic incumbent Jeff Merkley.

In her spare time, Dr. Wehby enjoys boating, hiking, and gardening.
