Get to know Pediatric Neurosurgeon Dr. Monica C. Wehby, who serves patients in Indiana.
A board certified pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Wehby is internationally recognized for her expertise in spina bifida and tethered spinal cord. She is experienced in and enjoys all aspects of pediatric neurosurgery, with particular clinical interest in craniofacial reconstruction, hydrocephalus, congenital anomalies, neonatal surgery, and child abuse.
At present, Dr. Wehby sees patients at Goodman Campbell Brain & Spine in Carmel, Indiana; PMCH Multispecialty Surgical Clinic; and can be found on staff at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent.
A University of Notre Dame alumni, she obtained her Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After completing her residency in neurosurgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, she went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Primary Children’s Hospital at the University of Utah.
Dr. Wehby began her pediatric neurosurgical career in Portland, Oregon as a partner at Microneurosurgical Consultants, P.C., while also serving as the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, where she later transitioned to full-time staff.
Board certified by both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery, Dr. Wehby has held numerous leadership and board positions at the local, state and national level. These include Trustee of the American Medical Association, Northwest Regional Director of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, President of both the Oregon Medical Association and the Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland, Board Member of Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the Republican Nominee for US Senate from Oregon.
In addition, she is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons.
Since 2023, Dr. Wehby has been serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
