Morgan Rosenthal, LPN, Licensed Practical Nurse with Carriage Court of Memphis

Get to know Licensed Practical Nurse, Morgan Rosenthal, who serves patients in Memphis, Tennessee.

Morgan is a licensed practical nurse who specializes in long-term care and assisted living. Long-term care is a variety of services which help meet both the medical and non-medical needs of people with a chronic illness or disability who cannot care for themselves for long periods of time. The primary focus of assisted living is to help residents with activities of daily living.

In her professional career, Morgan holds the position of third floor charge nurse at Carriage Court of Memphis, which is a retirement community located in Memphis, Tennessee. Opened in 1998, Carriage Court of Memphis provides two types of lifestyles to ensure each resident receives the personalized, detailed care that will make day to day life more carefree for them and their loved ones. The Assisted Living lifestyle allows residents to continue living the healthy and active lifestyles they are used to with a little added assistance when they need it. The Memory Care lifestyle offers compassionate and personalized care for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Growing up, Morgan had an overpowering urge to want to help and care for others. Around the time she started high school, she knew that nursing was her calling and it has been her goal ever since to excel in her career.

In 2018, she earned her nursing degree from Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Mississippi. She attributes her success to her parents, who helped her get out of a really bad situation during nursing school. She states that she would not have been able to make it without them pushing her and without her mother staying up late every night to help her study.

In addition to earning her nursing degree, Morgan obtained a certification in CPR, which is an emergency procedure that combines chest compressions often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest. CPR certification is a group of problem-solving medical procedures and techniques designed to provide urgent treatment of life threatening cardiac emergencies such as cardiac arrest and stroke.

Licensed practical nurses (LPNs), like Morgan, provide routine care for the sick or injured. They work in conjunction with registered nurses (RNs) to adhere to a care plan for each patient. LPNs are generally hired in smaller settings, such as nursing homes, home health environments, and rehabilitation centers. LPNs are responsible for a range of patient care and administrative tasks.
