He subsequently completed his medical internship at Unity Health System in Rochester, New York and was recognized as Intern of the Year. He then went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the Flaum Eye Institute of the University of Rochester.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
Professionally, he is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Society.
