Dr. Nallapeta earned his M.B.B.S. from J.J.M. Medical College in India, demonstrating a strong foundation in medical education. In pursuit of further excellence, he obtained his ECFMG certification in 2016, allowing him to practice medicine in the U.S. His extensive training includes a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo), followed by a hepatology fellowship at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Dr. Nallapeta’s diverse expertise encompasses General Gastroenterology, liver disease, and obesity medicine, making him uniquely qualified to address a wide range of gastrointestinal health issues.
As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Nallapeta specializes in diagnosing and managing conditions related to the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, liver, and intestines. He is adept at treating various gastrointestinal disorders, including dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, and fatty liver disease. His commitment to patient care and his comprehensive training enable him to deliver exceptional treatment to individuals facing these complex challenges.
Dr. Nallapeta attributes his success and passion for medicine to his background as a first-generation doctor in his family.
