He then went on to perform his internship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2009, and his residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2011. This was followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Montefiore Medical Center in 2014.
In addition to his extensive research during his medical training, Dr. Krohn has conducted three publications and has received academic awards, including the Samuel Belkin Scholarship and the Ira Marienhoff Scholarship.
With a special interest and expertise in hepatology, he is dual board-certified gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
