Her professional interests include women’s health, adolescent medicine, faculty development, as well as the availability of healthcare to provide for the underserved and immigrant population.

Providence Community Health Centers (PCHC) is a non-profit health care organization and the only Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Providence, Rhode Island. PCHC provides quality primary health care services that are affordable, comprehensive and culturally sensitive to more than 60,000 residents of Providence and its surrounding areas. Its services include: Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Behavioral Health, Optometry, Dental Care and Express Care (urgent care) alongside with selected specialty services. 

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Bica graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas in 2001. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the New York College of Medicine, graduating with the class of 2008.

Furthering her training, she performed her residency in family medicine at the Loyola University Medical Center in 2012, and her fellowship in women’s health at Vidant Medical Center/East Carolina University in 2013.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Continuously advancing her efforts, Dr. Bica is an active member of the Rhode Island Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
