Dr. Robert Galler is an experienced and acclaimed surgeon who has been in practice for over 23 years. His medical career began in 1995, when he gained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After an internship at the Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, he completed a residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center (now Northwell Health) and then a fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He also holds a Master of Public Health Degree from Columbia University.
Dr. Galler is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery in Neurological Surgery. He provides surgical solutions for a wide range of conditions and injuries for patients of all ages, including traumatic brain injuries, neurotrauma, traumatic spine and brain injury, adult degenerative scoliosis, cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis and herniated discs. He also has interest in spinal instrumentation and revision spinal surgery.
Alongside his practice, Dr. Galler also serves as an Associate Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University.
