“I joined the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group because I feel it’s the best model for a patient-centered medical home with outpatient, radiology, labs, urgent care, and specialty services all offered within the same building. My interest in medicine began when I was teenager and lived near Howard University Hospital, and I used to watch the doctors go in and out of the ER in their scrubs. I enjoy being a pediatrician because I have the opportunity to influence a young child early in his/her life when it comes to diet and nutrition. Hopefully by doing so, I can catch them early and halt a trek towards obesity” expressed the doctor.
Educated in the United States, she graduated with her medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine, and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Howard University Hospital.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.\
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Glass has been the recipient of various awards and honors, including the Patients’ Choice Award in 2018.
A lover of health and fitness, she was an organic gluten-free vegan for 5 years, but now considers herself to be a pescatarian. She enjoys traveling with her family and church, and reading fantasy novels. Her favorite author is Terry Brooks.
