Academically, Dr. Cardenas obtained his medical degree at Pontifical Xavierian University in Colombia. He then went on to complete his residency in pediatrics at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, and a fellowship in pediatric intensive care and neonatology at Harvard Medical School.
Upon completion of his postgraduate training, he worked at Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad in Caracas, Venezuela.
With over 35 years of experience in direct patient care, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
