Get to know Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Noah Wald-Dickler, who serves patients in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Wald-Dickler is a fellowship-trained infectious disease specialist & a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). 

At present, he is active clinical faculty in the Department of Medicine and Division of Infectious Diseases at the LAC+USC Medical Center, where he also serves as the Associate Hospital Epidemiologist and Vice Chair of the Infection Control Committee. 

Holding academic titles, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Population and Public Health Sciences & a lecturer in the Master of Science (MSc) in Global Medicine Program at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He is also the Program Director of the University of Southern California/LAC+USC Medical Center Infectious Disease Fellowship training program.

A 2013 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine, Dr. Wald-Dickler went on to perform his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC Medical Center.

Following completion of his clinical infectious disease training, he served for two years as the Medical Director of the LAC+USC Rand Schrader HIV and Infectious Diseases Clinics.

Dedicated to his speciality, the doctor is board-certified in both infectious disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Wald-Dickler’s research interests are varied and include work in HIV clinical trials, hospital epidemiology, and practical implementation of antimicrobial stewardship with an emphasis on safe transition from IV to oral antibiotics.

Infectious disease is a medical specialty dealing with the prevention, the diagnosis, and the treatment of all infections. An infectious disease specialist’s practice also consists of managing nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections.

Throughout the years, Dr. Wald-Dickler has been the recipient of many awards, including: University of Southern California: Resident Teacher of the Year, 2016; University of Southern California: Junior Resident of the Year, 2015; University of Southern California: Intern of the Year, 2014; University of Missouri: Book Award for Student Excellence in Medicine, 2013; and Arizona State University Barrett Honors College: Magna Cum Laude Graduate, 2008.

On a more personal note, he speaks both English and Spanish.
