Dr. Sheskier’s career in medicine began in 1982, when he graduated with his Medical Degree form the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After medical school, he completed his internship with St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, followed by his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh. Pursuing advanced medical training, Dr. Sheskier went on to undertake his Foot and Ankle Surgery fellowship with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Sheskier is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and he is a professional member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Sheskier has participated in numerous medical missions in locations such as Vietnam, Cuba, and Haiti, and has been active in the medical training of hundreds of orthopedic surgeons over the years. He has dedicated his life to delivering the highest standard of quality care to his patients, and is particularly renowned for his expertise in lower extremity surgery and the treatment of sports injuries. Dr. Sheskier attributes his success to his passion for orthopedics, as well as his commitment to continual education. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Sheskier enjoys reading and traveling, and he also serves as team doctor for the professional women’s hockey team, the Metropolitan Rivetters.
