Lawrence graduated with his nursing degree from Polk County Community College in 1996, giving him over two decades of experience in his field. He attended Richard Stockton State College where he graduated with a Bachelors in Marine Science and was pre-med in 1981. Wanting to further his education he graduated with his Master’s of Science degree in Nursing and as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in 2006 from Florida International University.

To stay up to date in his field Lawrence remains a professional member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and Delta Epsilon Iota. He currently practices with LI Anesthesia Services Inc.
