Noteworthy Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator, Ramona A. Sowers, DNP, FNP-BC, RN will be Spotlighted in FindaTopDoc – The International Nurses Association
FindaTopDoc is pleased to welcome Ramona A. Sowers, DNP, FNP-BC, RN to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the FindaTopDoc. Ramona A. Sowers is an established Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within the Durham Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Durham, North Carolina. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at Simmons College School of Nursing. Featuring nearly four decades of experience in nursing, she has a special expertise in nurse education and sleep apnea.
Ramona’s career in nursing began in 1979, when she graduated with her Nursing Degree from St. Joseph’s College of Nursing. An advocate for pursuing further education, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1991 from Alfred University, followed by her Master of Science Degree in Nursing in 1996 from Binghamton University. Furthermore, Ramona completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree in 2009 with Case Western Reserve University.
To keep current with the new developments and guidelines in nursing, Ramona remains a distinguished member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the International Council of Nurses, the American Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is determined to enhance her patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results, and attributes her success to her dedication. When she is not working, Ramona enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
