Nirmala Thomasis a certified Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of expereince, currently practicing with Anne Arundel Medical Center where she holds an expertise in Adult-gerontology Primary Care and Nursing Education.
An Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) is an advance practice nurse with a clinical focus on treating people from adolescents through adult ages and into advanced age.

From September 2008 to April of 2018, Nirmala practiced first as an Assistant Professor and then as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty with the Anne Arundel Community College, where she was a clinical instructor for the Associate Degree Nursing students.
Nirmala graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Christian Medical College in 1996, furthering her education she graduated with a Masters of Nursing Education in 2006 from the University of Phoenix. In 2018 she became certified as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from the George Washington University.
Nirmala chose a career in nursing as she has always had an interest and passion for healthcare. Nursing has been a goal of hers since high school. Additionally, her family is in medicine. She attributes her professional success to her family support, her passion, compassion, hard work, and ability to remain easy going and not get frustrated. When not working she enjoys Fishing, Family Time, and Attending Church.
