Dr. Royce attended Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, where he graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. Thereafter, he served his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, followed by his Pediatric Orthopedic residency at Boston Children’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Massachusetts. While in Boston, Dr. Royce undertook his Total Joint Replacement Surgical residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Pursuing advanced medical training, he undertook his Trauma fellowship at Regionalspital Sta Maria in Switzerland, before returning to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for his Biological Joint Reconstruction fellowship.
Dr. Royce is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and remains a distinguished member of many professional societies including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, the Colorado Medical Society, the El Paso County Medical Society, and the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine, among others.
Dr. Royce has dedicated his life to providing the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to his patients. He has a special interest in young arthritic knee and cartilage care for joint injuries, is a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Program, and was also a team physician for the US Team at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. Moreover, Dr. Royce serves as a USA Hockey Team Physician, and has traveled internationally with them for over a decade.
