He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Saint Louis University in 2004, followed by his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2008.

Licensed to practice medicine in Missouri, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, the doctor speaks regionally on cardiovascular disease and diabetes in patients with heart disease. He is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Throughout his line of work, Dr. Guzon has chaired and served on several hospital committees, including being Medical Staff President at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. He has been active in his community as a board member of Sussex County ARC in New Jersey, where he was named by the Herald Newspaper as one of the “40 under 40 ” notable county residents.
