A devoted psychiatrist, Dr. Esperanza sees patients at the Weill Cornell Psychiatry Specialty Center. Her clinical interests are focused on pediatric and adult ADHD, depression, anxiety, and psychopharmacology. Graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993, Dr. Esperanza earned her medical degree from the Rush Medical College in 2004. She completed her residency in pediatrics and has practiced pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. She advanced her training by completing a fellowship in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.

As a testament of her continued education, the doctor is board-certified in psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Among her other roles, Dr. Esperanza is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine, and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center.
