Dr. Goodman is a well-respected podiatrist at The Foot & Ankle Treatment Center, Conveniently located on the first floor of the Glenbrook Hospital Professional Building in Glenview, Illinois.

He is one of only a limited number of foot and ankle surgeons who is board-certified in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. His specialty areas are reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthritis, trauma, deformity correction, arthroscopic surgery, and total ankle joint replacements.

A native of Northbrook, Dr. Goodman attended Glenbrook North High School. He then went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Kansas, and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.

He completed his surgical training in foot and ankle surgery at Kern Hospital in Detroit, which offered the first formal training program for foot and ankle surgery in the world. The graduates from this program are pioneers for foot and ankle training and Dr. Goodman has maintained his connection with the program by lecturing at conferences sponsored by the Civic/Kern Hospital Residency Alumni Association.  

A nationally recognized lecturer and educator for many topics in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Goodman is board-certified in wound care and certified in total ankle joint replacements – salto talaris total ankle prosthesis.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association, he is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Diabetes Association.

A podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician or a foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They can treat injuries and complications from ongoing health issues like diabetes. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Goodman is married with three children and enjoys sports of all kinds. He likes to play and coach youth ice hockey, having worked as the team physician with Detroit’s Junior B Hockey League and serving as a consultant for other athletic organizations.
