Then I take the extra step of harvesting fat and performing fat grafting to restore youthful volume to the face. Graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, Dr. Afrooz went on to earn his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He then completed his residency in plastic surgery at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, well known amongst plastic surgeons as one of the oldest and most prestigious plastic surgery training programs in the world. Following residency, he was selected for a fellowship at the esteemed Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, one of the most highly-coveted and competitive aesthetic fellowships in the country. Dr. Afrooz was selected from a large pool of national candidates on the merits of his research, technical skill, and the recommendation of his mentors and peers.
Dr. Afrooz is Board Certified in plastic surgery through the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Afrooz enjoys spending time with his family, including his bulldog, and playing rock n’ roll on his guitar.
