Dr. Ramos De Oleo is a quadruple board-certified critical care medicine specialist specializing in internal medicine, general nephrology with a special focus in acute renal failure and acid-base disorders, and neuro-critical care medicine. He is an attending on staff at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Back in 2001, Dr. Ramos De Oleo graduated with his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in the Dominican Republic. He then relocated to the United States, completing his residency in internal medicine at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in 2011. 

Furthering his education, he graduated with his Master’s degree in Public Health / Business Administration from Benedictine University in 2016. He also completed his fellowship in nephrology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan in 2017, and his fellowship in critical care medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in 2019.

Board-certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine, neuro-critical care medicine, and nephrology, Dr. Ramos De Oleo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Since June of 2022, Dr. Ramos De Oleo has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Florida State University College of Medicine, and is on volunteer faculty for the teaching site at Orlando Regional Medical Center

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Intensive care medicine, also called critical care medicine, is a medical specialty that deals with seriously or critically ill patients who have, are at risk of, or are recovering from conditions that may be life-threatening. Critical care medicine specialists (also called intensivists) are medical doctors who specialize in the care of people who are in an intensive care unit (ICU). In some areas, when a person is very ill and has to spend time in an ICU, he or she is cared for by a critical care medicine specialist.
