Dr. Gaz is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE). The American College of Endocrinology (ACE) is a scientific, educational and charitable medical organization dedicated to promoting the art and science of clinical endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism for the improvement of patient care and public health. Additionally, Dr. Gaz is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is a scientific and educational association of surgeons that was founded in 1913 to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient by setting high standards for surgical education and practice.

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrine surgery is a surgical sub-speciality focusing on surgery of the endocrine glands, including the thyroid gland, the parathyroid glands, the adrenal glands, glands of the endocrine pancreas, and some neuroendocrine glands.
