Rebecca Feliciano, RN, a devoted and compassionate registered nurse based in Ocala, Florida, is making a meaningful impact in the healthcare community through her innovative and heartfelt approach to patient care. Now serving as an Admissions RN with Empath Health and Hospice, Rebecca brings not only clinical expertise but also a deep sense of empathy and purpose to every interaction, embodying a true commitment to healing and hope.
Rebecca’s journey in healthcare began at the young age of 16 when she took her first steps into the field as a nurse assistant at a nursing home. “Taking care of people was innate and natural for me,” Rebecca recalls. “To help a person at their most vulnerable time was simple.” This early experience cemented her desire to pursue a career in nursing, leading her to earn an Associate Degree in Nursing from the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University.
With over four decades of experience, Rebecca boasts an impressive array of certifications, including Med/Surg, Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy, Gerontology, and Equine Therapy. As a proud Army veteran, she served during the Iraq War, bringing a unique perspective to her practice that combines military discipline with compassionate care.
Rebecca’s outstanding contributions to the nursing profession have not gone unnoticed. She is a highly-regarded member of P.O.W.E.R. (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) and has been honored as Woman of the Month for January and November 2024, as well as February 2025. Her achievements will be celebrated in the upcoming Summer 2025 issue of P.O.W.E.R. Magazine, alongside other remarkable women in various fields.
Specializing in equine therapy, behavioral healthcare, and psychiatric nursing, Rebecca attributes her success to her unwavering integrity and dedication to being a patient advocate. “Having a genuine desire to care for others is what drives me every day,” she states.
When she is not working, Rebecca enjoys quality time with her family and indulges in her passion for horses, finding solace and joy in their companionship.
