Helen J. Hudgins is a registered nurse currently practicing with Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation and Specialty Hospital. There she holds expertise in Acute Care, Nursing, Inpatient Care, Critical Care Nursing, and Hospitals.

Roosevelt Warm Spring Rehabilitation Hospital (RWSHR) welcomes patients from all over the state of Georgia and surrounding states. Their patients are referred from acute care hospitals.  Patients in a rehab facility participate in a very structured program including, building strength, endurance and self care while having medical issues managed. Their goal is to prepare patients to return home and resume their lives.

Helen graduated with her Nursing degree and as a licensed Registered Nurse from the Southern Union States Community College in 1996, giving her over a decade of experience in her field. She is currently studying to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the LaGrange College. She holds certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.

Helen has received the Florence Nightingale Award for Caring from West Georgia Health in 1987, and was named the Junior Volunteer with the most hours from West Georgia Health. To stay up to date in her field, she remains a professional member of the Georgia Nurses Association. Previously, she was a Clinical Instructor for West Georgia Technical College.

Helen choose a career in nursing, as when Helen was four, her brother was born with health defects. She grew up caring for him and reading medical books that her mom had on how to care for him. She attributes her professional success to her faith, always following Gods path, her childhood hardships, determination, and being independent. When not working, she enjoys drawing, painting, doing crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren.
