Jan received her nursing diploma through Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge England in 1974, giving her over four decades of experience. Furthering her education she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from St Leo University, Florida. Additionally, she holds certification as a Home Health Administrator. Home care administrators oversee the day-to-day operations and manage financial transactions of home healthcare and hospice agencies. She is also a Certified OASIS Specialist –Clinical. She spent over 15yrs in the field of surgery as Director for Surgical Services in 3 different states, before entering the field of home care.

To stay up to date in her field, she remains a professional member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, National Association for Home Care & Hospice, Iowa Association of Health Care, and the Iowa Home Care Association.

Her aunts, who were nursing assistants, were an inspiration to Jan as at the age of 6yrs she decided she wanted to be a nurse, following her mother’s death from breast cancer at age 16yrs, this additionally drew her into the path of light to enter nursing and help others in need and make a difference in the field, she found her passion in people. When not working she enjoys Traveling, Ballroom Dancing, and spending time with Friends, and during the summer a Farmers Market stall selling goodies which are totally allergy free. At this time she is semi-retired with the goal of achieving her 50th anniversary in nursing
