Julie attended the California State University and graduated in 1979 with a Bachelors of Nursing. In 2014 she gained her certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialty. Jonica holds an expertise in Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Medical Surgery, and Telemetry, Cardiovascular. To keep current with the new developments in her field Jonica maintains a professional membership with the California Nurses Association and National Nurses Organizing Committee. After a 39 year career in nursing, Julie has retired from the medical field. She has an extensive expertise as a nursing professor and in pediatrics, medical surgery and hospice.

The main role of a registered nurse is to assist physicians in providing treatment to patients suffering from various medical conditions.
