Meina J. Dubetz, RN is an established Registered Nurse in Alberta, Canada, who features over five decades of experience in her field. Her career in nursing began in 1969 when she received her license as a Practical Nurse. She then completed her Registered Nursing Certificate from the Mount Royal University in Calgary in Canada.To continue her education Meina went on to earn her Certification in Oncology Nursing in 1996 and her Certification in Gerontology in 2000. She also has a certification as a Death/Life Coach, a certification in hypnotherapy, and is a trained Reiki Master.
Meina is the author of When Death Comes Knocking for Your Patients which became #1 best seller on Amazon in both the US and Canada. A book that focuses on her experiences working with patients facing death, and in turn how you can provide the best care to them. Meina has also written articles in We can Die Better magazine. She is currently writing her second book, formulating an online course for those entering the corridor of Palliative care and sharing her experiences by speaking at conferences and workshops.
Meina is a professional member of the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta. Outside of nursing, Meina enjoys spending quality time with her 3 children and her 4 grandchildren. She enjoys writing, entertains guests, and makes time for personal growth and professional development opportunities. Presently, Meina continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients as a Registered Nurse by taking casual shifts during the summer months at Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary.
