Renee is a certified registered nurse anesthetist with experience in intensive care medicine and interventional radiology. Throughout her career, she has been involved in many areas of teaching and training others, as well as has been a part of many committees to provide improved patient care. 

Currently, she can be found on staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. In affiliation with Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, Sarasota Memorial Hospital is an 839-bed healthcare facility that is among the largest public health systems in Florida. It is a full-service health system, with specialized expertise in heart, vascular, cancer, and neuroscience services, as well as a network of outpatient centers, long-term care, and rehabilitation among its many programs. It is the only hospital in Sarasota County providing obstetrical services, pediatrics, Level III neonatal intensive care, and Level II Trauma Center.

Starting out in her career in medicine, Renee served as a licensed nurse practitioner in the Cardiac/ICU Step Down Unit. In 2006, she earned her Associate of Science in Nursing degree from State College of Florida, Manatee – Sarasota. Years later, in 2014, she went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Excelsior College in Albany, New York, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida in 2019. 

For the purpose of advancing her efforts, she maintains memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and the Greater Tampa Bay Chapter of American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She also holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. 

For as long as she could remember, Renee had always wanted to become a doctor. As she got older, she realized the difference between doctors and nurses and decided to pursue the path of becoming a nurse. Now, with years of experience under her belt, she attributes her success to having a great support system and wanting to advance her knowledge, as well as her drive to be better, her good upbringing, and her positive attitude. Her cousin also inspired her to become a nurse anesthetist. 

A certified registered nurse anesthetist plays a crucial role in the success of a variety of medical procedures. They work in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, podiatrists, and other professionals to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia.

On the subject of her philanthropic endeavors, Renee volunteers at an assisted-living facility, keeping employees up to date on compliances and managing wound care for the residents. She also participates in youth ministry in her church.
