Dr. Joseph Poku, MD, FACC, FHRS, a distinguished cardiac electrophysiologist, has been at the forefront of heart health in Macon, Georgia for nearly two decades. His passion for cardiac electrophysiology led him to join Georgia Arrhythmia Consultants and Research Initiative in 2006. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Poku is actively involved in academic and professional organizations. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Mercer School of Medicine and is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS). 

His commitment to community engagement is demonstrated through his roles on the Board of Trustees for Clark University, as a delegate to the Georgia Chapter of the ACC, and as Treasurer for the Association of Black Cardiologists, where he advocates for diversity and inclusivity in the field of cardiology.
