Dr. Vikas Varma gained his Medical Degree in 1992 from the Armed Forces Medical College of Poona in India. After relocating to the United States, he completed an internship at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, prior to residencies at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and at Drexel University College of Medicine. He then undertook his fellowship training at North Shore University Hospital and at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Varma is double board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He remains an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Neurology, the American Society Of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the International Spine Intervention Society, and was also awarded the Excellence in Pain Management Practice Award by the Institute of Pain in 2013. When he is not working Dr. Vikas enjoys keeping fit by playing tennis and is also a martial arts practitioner.
