FindaTopDoc is pleased to welcome Dorothea A. Budek, FNP-C, ENP-C, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the FindaTopDoc. Dorothea A. Budek is an established Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within the Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Featuring a decade of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in emergency room nursing, surgical nursing, intensive care, family medicine, and advanced practice nursing.

Dorothea’s career in nursing began in 2008, when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Bellin College. An advocate for pursuing further education, she went on to earn her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration  in 2014 from Concordia University Wisconsin. Since graduating, Dorothea has completed a number of advanced training courses, including earning board certification as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner, and is an inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

To keep current with the new practice guidelines, developments, and procedures, Dorothea maintains a professional membership with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners, and the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners. She has dedicated her life to delivering high quality care, and attributes her success to the engaging preceptors and mentors she has had, the support of her physician colleagues and her family. In her free time, Dorothea enjoys kayaking, hiking, camping, and gardening with her husband.
