Get to know Physiatrist Dr. Reuben Chen, who serves patients in Fort Worth, Texas.

Personifying a holistic approach to health, Dr. Chen is a board-certified physiatrist with an emphasis on sports medicine and pain management. He is in practice with Health Atlast, operating out of the office in Fort Worth, Texas.

Since then, he has continued his interest in integrative medicine and has received Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture training at UCLA and the University of Minnesota, to name a few. 

With this unique background, Dr. Chen prides himself on bringing a more holistic approach to pain management, focusing on regenerative medicine and assisting the body to heal itself. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R).

Since January of 2021, Dr. Chen has been a member of the Board of Directors at Sunrider International. A fitness and nutrition visionary, he is the creator of the SunFit321 and Fitness Brigade programs, and plays an active role in the research and development of groundbreaking products.

Since December of 2012, he has also been affiliated with Torrance Memorial Medical Center.

Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.

Among Dr. Chen’s various accolades include Patients’ Choice Award (2016), On-Time Doctor Award (2016), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016).

On a more personal note, he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is a black belt in TaeKwonDo and Judo.
