An expert in the management of cerebrovascular disorders, Dr. Taylor is affiliated with Link Neuro, which is a Neurology and Neurosurgery group he cofounded.  He specializes in neurointerventional surgery, neurocritical care, vascular neurology and neurosonology.  

Dr. Taylor  is dedicated to providing excellent care to patients with complex neurovascular diseases and stroke. He has the expertise and tools to deliver quality treatments to those individuals who have been diagnosed with a stroke, a complex neurovascular disease, certain brain tumors or traumatic brain injuries. Furthermore, he strives to provide patients with exceptional neurocritical care so they may have the best outcome possible.

He served as Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he was the Vascular Neurology Fellowship Program Director at the University of Minnesota/Fairview Hospital and an Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship Site Director at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.  He currently holds medical privileges at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Community Memorial Medical Center and Marian Regional Medical Center. 

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1999. He then went on to complete his internship in internal medicine, residency in Neurology, and fellowship in stroke/neurocritical care at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, followed by an additional fellowship in Neurointerventional Radiology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in both neurology and vascular neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Stroke Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Society of Neuroimaging, the Neurocritical Care Society. He is also a senior member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery and a founding member of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology.

Neuroendovascular surgery is a minimally invasive procedure using advanced technology and medical expertise to treat patients with neurological diseases of the head, neck and spine. The surgery is done from inside the blood vessels.

A vascular neurologist specializes in caring for people with cerebrovascular problems, which includes the blood vessels in the brain and spinal cord. Vascular neurologists diagnose and treat many cerebrovascular diseases and events, including stroke, brain aneurysm, and spinal cord hemorrhage.

Voted in Best Doctors in America® in 2013, Dr. Taylor has published and given numerous lectures on the latest treatments of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and neuroendovascular techniques and protocols.

Outside of practicing medicine, he enjoys rowing, playing tennis, jogging, and biking. His favorite place to vacation is a home – ‘staycation’.
