Dr. Balch III is a dual board-certified pain management specialist. He serves as the owner & operator of Balch Interventional Pain and Wellness Center in Fort Worth, Texas. 

Through his education and experience, he has developed a unique holistic approach to medical treatment that encompasses not only direct treatment of acute and/or chronic pain, but also a full scale of aesthetic therapies, including cosmetic laser therapy, pharmaceutical grade skin care products, cosmetic Botox, and nutrition. He has fostered an understanding that one must treat the whole person by incorporating the mind, body, and spirit. Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Balch III earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. He completed residency training in the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in pain management at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he served as Chief Fellow and was awarded the esteemed “Pain Fellow of the Year” by the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. During his fellowship, he worked closely with internationally recognized experts in headache pain, spine and pelvic pain. 

The doctor is board-certified in pain medicine & physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOBPMR). The AOBPMR is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the treatment of patients with physical impairments or disabilities.

An accomplished author, Dr. Balch III has published several papers in scientific journals, including “Ultrasound Guided Intrathecal Baclofen Trials: A Case series”, and Extended Release Morphine Sulfate in Treatment of Severe Acute and Chronic Pain. 

A member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he is affiliated with Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center–Fort Worth and Medical City Fort Worth Hospital.
