Prior to his medical experience, Dr. Muhammad served in the United States Marine Corps and also The United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged from both branches.
Dr. Muhammad has also served as Medical Director of USA Boxing for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games and has over15 years in Ringside Medicine both nationally and internationally. Dr. Muhammad has also served as a Medical Director for Team USA Kickboxing. Dr. Muhammad has also served on the Colorado Board of Combative Sports as an advisor and still works closely with Professional Boxers. Dr. Muhammad is an active member of prestigious medical associations such as the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Association of Professional Ringside Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
Beyond his medical expertise, Dr. Muhammad is a multifaceted individual who enjoys writing, playing keyboards, bass and acoustic guitar. He also trains for and regularly participates in Age Group Triathlons in the state of Colorado. Dr. Muhammad is unmarried and has one son, Rashaad whom he is very proud of.
