Dr. Orozco was born in Mexico, where he attended dental school. In 1980, he moved to Texas and drove a taxi to make ends meet. In 1985, armed with his education and determination for a better life, he joined the Army. Though he initially thought he would be able to work as a dentist in the Army, his then lack of citizenship meant the best he could get was an enlisted position as a combat medic, which he dutifully accepted. After Dr. Orozco finished his time in the Army, his wife joined the Navy, relocating the couple from Texas to California.
Dr. Orozco completed internships with Loma Linda University and Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
Dr. Orozco opened his own private practice – Alpine Oak Dental – in 2014. Alpine Oak Dental offers a full range of general & cosmetic dental treatments to help patients achieve their perfect smile. They utilize the latest in dental technology and techniques in order to offer patients the best preventive care and treatment available in Alpine.
Dr. Orozco holds a professional membership with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). The ICOI is an association of general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, endodontists, orthodontists, laboratory technicians,
auxiliaries, industry representatives, researchers, faculty members, pre and post doctoral graduate dental students as well as the general public. As an organization, their mission is to provide an educational platform for implantology. Dr. Orozco is also a member of the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA), a national, non-profit 501(c)3 organization comprised of oral health professionals and students dedicated to promoting and improving the oral health of the Hispanic community and providing advocacy for Hispanic oral health professionals across the US.
A general dentist is a primary care dental provider who diagnoses, treats, and manages patients’ overall oral health care needs, including gum care, root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, and preventive education. Specializing in general dentistry, Dr. Orozco’s services range from basic to complex, offering difficult wisdom teeth extractions, root canals, implants from start to finish, orthodontics and sedation dentistry. He sees patients of all ages and offers free service to missionaries and disabled children by referral.
Dr. Orozco loves what he does, attributing his success to his patients. “I’ve always looked at my patients as someone to whom I owe so much, because without them I wouldn’t be able to feed my family and put a roof over their heads. To me, the best way I can repay the debt I owe to my patients is by always training and always trying to be better than myself — not other dentists — myself, every day” he stated. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, their 4 daughters, and 3 grandchildren. His hobbies include anything artistic, from woodworking to pen making.
