In 2012, Dr. Banegas embarked on a new chapter in his career at Denver Health Medical Center, a renowned trauma one center often referred to as the Knife and Gun Club. During his tenure, he established the peripheral nerve institute and played a crucial role in the reimplantation hand trauma team. Concurrently, he served as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics.
Throughout his academic journey, he has contributed significantly to the medical field. He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters, sharing his expertise and advancements in orthopedic surgery.
