Dr. Walcott served as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Harvard University School of Medicine, as well as an Instructor of Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Walcott is a member of the Eastern Vascular Society and the Society of Vascular Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Walcott is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. He has specialty training in carotid surgery, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, lower extremity reconstruction, and venous disease. He also has a special interest in complex aortic repair. Furthermore, he is certified in fenestrated aneurysm repair.
Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty in which diseases of the vascular system (or arteries, veins, and lymphatic circulation) are managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Walcott is trained to evaluate and treat complications and diseases of the circulatory system including the arteries, veins, and blood vessels.
