He went on to complete a residency at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. As a urologist, Dr. Cohen specializes in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. This includes areas of the bladder, urethra, kidneys, penis, and prostate.
Dr. Cohen is board certified by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The ABU is organized to encourage the study, improve standards, and promote competency in the practice of Urology. The Board evaluates candidates who are duly licensed to practice medicine, and arranges and conducts examinations for the purpose of certification, subspecialty certification, recertification, and ongoing maintenance of certification. Certificates are conferred by the Board to candidates who successfully complete all requirements for a given certificate.
Dr. Cohen has volunteered at the Caridad Migrant Clinic for over 26 years. The Caridad Migrant Clinic is the largest free healthcare clinic in Florida and one of the largest in the entire nation.
